ALERT    ALERT

The Hospital Alert Notification System is a tool which allows Hospitals and specific agencies to post Emergency Alerts in a text format to the website.

A hospital can post an Alert directly from their administration control panel. You will notice it when you login to your administration section.

The Alert Notification System should be used in times of emergency or unusual circumstances in which it would be critical to relay important information to 911, EMS, other hospitals, etc. The system may also be activated by agencies such as Public Health, GEMA, CDC, etc. The Alert System is not to be used to post Diversion / Bed Status. Use the appropriate sections to do this.

When there are Active Alerts on the Alert Status board, you will see:
                       ALERT ALERT
followed by the Alert information.

When an alert is posted to the website, it will remain active for 24 hours unless removed by the user prior to that time frame. After 24 hours, the record expires and is automatically removed from the Alert Status Board. When there are no active alerts, you will see information stating exactly that.
